The new UNO-city will be developed in the area of the former government buildings which were in service until 1998. Next to a new Hotel Building the new World Conference center will be the heart of the complex. A total gross area of 32.000m² will be designed including a multifunctional conference hall for 3.500 guests, several meeting rooms for 100 to 500 persons and a multi-storey hotel building with 400 rooms including service-, lounge- and restaurant areas. Access to the parts of the complex will be provided by a 2.500 m² foyer covered with a transparent glass roof.

INROS LACKNER AG has been commissioned to design all technical building systems including the following key-features:

  • Medium and low voltage system (2 x 300 kVA)
  • Emergency power supply system (500 kVA)
  • Multifunctional public address system (100V technology)
  • Air condition system (400.000 m³/h)
  • Central cooling supply with app. 2.900 kW of screw chillers and absorption chillers combined with an ice-accumulator plant
  • Central heating supply with app. 2.300 kW combined of community heating, thermal solar plant and heat pumps
  • Water supply for fire-fighting including hydrant and sprinkler system
  • Component activation integrated in concrete slabs
  • Central management system based on LON network
