Promoting young talent
The Deutschlandstipendium initiative serves the purpose of encouraging a culture of donation in education. The first scholarships were granted for the winter semester 2011/2012. At Rostock University, a total of 48 students were awarded the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship. Applications were open to the best students of all subject areas and faculties. INROS LACKNER AG currently sponsors a female electrical engineering student, thus being one of the first sponsors at Rostock University. On the occasion of a ceremony held on 29th October, sponsors and scholarship holders met for the first time. Mr. Ingo Aschmann, as a member of the Executive Board, attended the event and welcomed the recipient of the scholarship sponsored by INROS LACKNER AG. "With the promotion of young talents, important foundations are being laid for the development of a company," Mr. Aschmann emphasised. "The early support of committed and motivated young talents is essential and will only succeed through close cooperation with the universities." Thus, the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship provides an ideal platform and allows for an early contact to young academics. Within the framework of the scholarship, the students will first receive an amount of 300 euros per month for the duration of two semesters. One half of this amount will be financed by companies or private sponsors, whereas the other half will be financed by the federal government. The scholarship is not subject to the student's or to parental income. (www.deutschland-stipendium.de)
